NEW Top Ten Coffee Enemies List; Rep. Terrill Added

From Examiner.com:

It’s the political perfect storm: the battle over official English, lawsuit reform and private prisons will determine whether Senate Leader Glenn Coffee stays or is ousted this legislative session. And as a result, there’s been a change at the top of the standings of the Coffee Enemies List!

State Rep. Randy Terrill, R-Moore, has rocketed all the way to the top of the Coffee enemies list, with capitol reporters pursuing private prison shenanigans debuting on the list at a strong number 2 position.

OKPNS has learned that the embattled Coffee is being squeezed by a group of liberal Republican senators led by Sen. Harry Coates of Seminole and Patrick Anderson of Enid. Coffee’s top legislative agenda item, so-called lawsuit reform, has been weakened by the scandal fumes that have been surrounding Coffee for nearly a month now. Coates and Anderson, and perhaps as many as 4 or 5 more Republican senators, are seen as possible ‘no’ votes on lawsuit reform. Coffee desperately needs their support to keep his leader post and their votes to pass his lawsuit reform package. But Coates and his followers have another agenda: to stop Randy Terrill’s official English package, something Coffee’s conservative members are strongly committed to passing. Read more…

Batesline Questions Coates Appointment

There has to be some super Machiavellian reasoning behind this, right? Coates??? A guy who – during this past election – did robo calls FOR Democrats from THEIR party headquarters!

From Batesline:

“Why are the Oklahoma Senate Republicans putting their caucus’s lone HB 1804 opponent, an outspoken opponent of enforcing immigration laws, in charge of the Business and Labor Committee?…” Read more…

Cheap Labor Pimp Harry “Turn” Coates Sells Out Fellow Republican

From Examiner.com:

Most people – when they’ve been made an absolute fool of publicly – usually try to find the nearest hole to craw in to fade into obscurity. Not good ‘Ol “Republican” Senator ‘Harry “turn” Coates. I Learned last week that Coates did robo calls for District 93 Democratic candidate David Castillo. (Mike Christian was the eventual winner.) To add insult to injury, the calls were made from the state Democratic headquarters! Read more…

Dr. Goose “Press I Guess” an Ode to the Capitol Press Corps

I am Press I Guess

I am Press I Guess

Can you Guess if I am Press?

Press I Guess, I wonder why,

You let old Dirty Harry lie?

Don’t you like my Harry Coates?

I Love my Coates, on him I dotes.

But Randy Terrill, gets my goats!

About that Harry’s missing wrapper?

Of course he left them in the crapper.

In a plain manilla wrapper.

We knew it soon would be a mess,

but you know we are Press I Guess.

As Press I Guess we’re in the bag,

with Harry’s tale, we do not gag,

His docs were hacked, hacked we say!

Don’t let the facts get in the way,

And we won’t check that story out,

We’ll never, ever, have no doubt!

We will not write about his lies

We’d never ever be so wise,

We’ll never ask for the cop’s report,

If the truth comes out, would that be sport?

We’re Press I Guess, the verdict’s in,

We know his story’s pretty thin,

but dogging Harry is a sin,

We’re Press I Guess, believe OUR spin.

So Press I Guess,

How will you stop this Harry mess?

We’ll keep looking the other way,

ignore, refuse to ever play,

Inspector Clouseau would be proud,

of how our silence speaks so loud.

We won’t ask for the security tape,

for then our Harry could not escape!

The probe it ended ’cause Harry’s true,

the cost too much for me and you,

we’ll never ask, ‘o the cost, how much?’

We’re Press I Guess, so out of touch.

We’re Press I Guess, If we did our job,

we’d have old Harry by the knob,

We’re MSM, our mission true:

To help keep Harry snowing you!

But now come blogs, they want the facts!

They think that Harry’s lines doth smack,

of lies and phony insinuations,

they care not of our fascination

with Harry and his bumbling crew,

How dare they tell the truth to you!

We’re Press I Guess,

and here’s the deal,

we’ll never make our Harry squeal,

we’ll let him lie, and preen and strut,

and stay here on our lazy butt!

…and the ‘Coates Calamity’ continues

OKPNS/McCarville Do Media’s Job; Coates Owes “A Few Fanatical Individuals” an Apology

It’s a shame that it took an embarrassing elapsed time clock – and frankly Mike McCarville following up on our lead – for Dirty Harry Coates to admit that he himself ended the senate investigation into the alleged theft of his emails. After the House surveillance tapes showed no suspicious characters “breaking into his office,” Coates quietly ended the investigation and hoped and prayed the sleepy Oklahoma media would let the story die. Loyal readers of OKPNS knew we weren’t going to let Sen. Turncoats off the hook that easy.

From The McCarville Report Online:

A Department of Public Safety investigation into the disappearance of a confidential file in the possession of Republican Senator Harry Coates has ended at his request, The McCarville Report Online has learned.

A letter from Coates, R-Seminole, dated April 30, reports that the investigation to that point had found nothing conclusive and to avoid additional expense, he asked that it end.

The internal probe apparently involved a review of camera images of the hallway outside Coates’ office. That review obviously produced no evidence the file was taken from Coates’ office.

There are still a couple of issues here that need to be tied up. One, at Coate’s press conference, he called the alleged burglars “a few fanatical individuals” who were against his attempts to repeal the popular HB 1804. Doesn’t he now owe an apology to law abiding citizens who are only trying to protect the safety of their families and the sovereignty of their country? And second, in order for the Senate investigation to have started, the senator had to file a police report. Since everyone now knows Dirty left the documents in the crapper – and he knows that we know he left the documents in the crapper – did Dirty Harry knowingly file a false police report? These are a few questions we’ll be following for you over the next couple of days.

FLASHBACK! 104 Days & Counting; Is the Investigation Over Yet?

Fox 25 Video: Sen. Coates, Did you leave the documents in a Capitol restroom? “No, that’s not the way it happened, I promise you.”

And speaking of bumbling Investigations: 2 Months and No Arrests!

Two months ago yesterday, the capitol press corps breathlessly reported Coates’ press conference in which the Seminole Senator reported he had been the victim of a “crime.” The next day’s headlines screamed about the “crime” and senate officials reported the investigation would take two weeks, but we’re now at two months into the investigation.

Now we all know the truth: Dirty left the docs in the crapper, OKPNS informed the public about the hapless plot, and the multi-million dollar repeal effort sputtered to a halt. Now those who enjoy exploiting illegal immigrants for low wages are pinning their hopes of continued lawlessness on the judicial system. How’s that for irony?

Dirty Harry addressing the media on April 10th about his “stolen documents.”

So two months after Dirty Harry lied to the press and the press fed the lies to the public, it seems to be forgotten as the same folks who lied to us and profess to hate frivolous use of the legal system are doing just that.

Don’t hold your breath hoping that anybody in the capitol press gang does a follow up story on Dirty’s phony claims. It’s just not going to happen. It took a miracle that the public found out about the plot in the first place, and we can be sure that the capitol press corps will do their best to make sure that never happens again!

Drive-by Orgy Underway/Press Corps Needs a Cigarette

OKPNS has been aware for some time now that anti-Randy Terrill forces were peddling some negative spin regarding a personal bankruptcy filing in 2005. The story broke on a Democrat bulletin board, and that was good enough for drive-by bloggers and print reporters to immediately began the super-heated pursuit.

As any regular reader of this blog knows, we are often critical of the Oklahoma press, specifically the capitol press, for their zealous prosecution of a case when the targets are conservatives, and their indolent and lazy attitude toward stories when it appears the offending parties are “progressives.” Ed Kelley probably didn’t sleep last night, quivering with excitement about those anti-Terrill editorials he gets to write. We’re thinking that this story may trump that sensational follow-up story about Dirty Harry Coates insinuating a phony computer hack job to cover-up his losing those documents last session, but we digress.

Rep. Terrill has cultivated many enemies in his HB 1804 effort. The drive-by Oklahoma City media, the same bunch that has looked past worst transgressions by the likes of Mike Turpen and Coates, is reporting the bankruptcy story with manifest glee. The Associated Press is jacked up enough to actually file two stories. Major television stations are reading the AP wire copy, but Terrill quotes are few and far between.

Here’s what we know thus far: the bumbling anti-1804 cartel that Terrill thwarted this past legislative session is NOT responsible for this last-minute bankruptcy ‘revelation.’ Multiple sources tell OKPNS that a group of immigration lawyers have been hustling the information like cheap porn in a plain brown wrapper, complete with ’spin’ regarding some so-called ‘irregularities’ in the filing. Terrill has denied any wrongdoing, but reports are the trustee in the bankruptcy case felt pressure, and now he’s logging more press time than Brent Rinehart.

Bankruptcy filings are not hard to discover, but the capitol press corps and the anti-1804 cartel headed by the incompetent Coates couldn’t and didn’t do it. The Terrill story has been prepared by a group of immigration lawyers, hell bent on overturning the law. They believe a last minute smear of Terrill will further that goal, and they’ve done the dirty work for the press and even prepared for them a story line, all without going on the record, and with incredibly suspicious timing. You know, just like they teach you in journalism school!

The bankruptcy is a legitimate item for public discussion, but the timing and the pre-fabricated story line smells like a last-minute campaign hatchet job. That hasn’t stopped the Oklahoma City press from swallowing the stink bait hook, line and sinker. We readily agree that the story about a high-profile public official deserves to be heard, but the hustlers of this information purposefully waited until the last minute to bring this to the attention of the public in a manner befitting an old Soviet Union spy, but the Oklahoma City press was ready to buy anything that harms Terrill. Caution, be damned!

Because of the suspicious-to-all-but-the-press timing, some restraint and care should have been exercised, but that wouldn’t fit into the press agenda, now would it? Somewhere Edward R. Murrow is rolling over in his grave!

We’ll be watching for the next set of stories the immigration lawyers, er, rather the press writes in the next few days.

Is Dirty Harry’s “Stolen” Documents Investigation Still Ongoing?

“Am I crazy, it is 10:30 and I have had lots of wine but I really like this argument!” Otie Ann Fried – Fried Kilpatrick Guinn Consulting

The FBI looks like they’ve had a little too much wine, too!

Oklahoma’s feeble chambers of commerce, who ironically have filed a frivolous lawsuit that would have the effect of allowing some businesses to break the law and hire illegal immigrants, may have succeeded in finding an ally: the FBI.

Oklahoma has embarrassed the federal government on the illegal immigration issue. Both parties in Washington have dawdled as the situation grows more and more explosive. Now comes the revelation that the FBI is joining the incompetency parade regarding a backlog of background checks.

Somewhere Dirty Harry is celebrating: perhaps he’s hoping the FBI will join the “investigation” into his “stolen documents.”

Dirty Harry addressing the media on April 10th about his “stolen documents.”

And speaking of bumbling Investigations: 2 Months and No Arrests!

Legislation Removing Sexual Predators From Nursing Homes Close to Law

Some good news! Captain Courageous, also known as Wes Bledsoe, the nursing home reform crusader, sent OKPNS an email Wednesday night predicting his legislation aimed at removing sexual predators from nursing homes may be on its way to becoming law. Bledsoe also mentions in the email, the report done by a NBC affiliate in Kansas City which ran a news report about the Predators in Nursing Homes issue.

“The report cited more of our investigative work, including the sexual assault by a registered sex offender of a young woman suffering from severe impairments…that we also brought to the news teams’ attention. The reporter, Keith King did a great job with the story… please send him some kudos”

Opponents of the bill, such as the greedy nursing home owners association, have tried to derail the legislation several times, but there has simply been too much media attention to this worthy cause.

Here’s Wes’ message to concerned Oklahomans. As we’ve mentioned, it’s witching hour and malevolent forces are at work. The nursing home association is still paying our favorite wine expert, Otie Ann Fried and her employees to represent their interests. So if Oklahomans want this bill to pass, they need to light up those phone lines. For citizens once represented by Dirty Harry Coates and Patrick Anderson, you should consider snail mail as they have great difficulties with their e-mail and phones.

Weekend Gross-out!! Turpen’s Shocking Confession! Admits Surfing Racist Sites and Admiration for Dirty Harry!

Former Exxon Mobil CEO Lee Raymond & Mike Turpen separated at birth?

Mike Turpen’s obsession with State Rep. Randy Terrill, while more than just a little weird, took another bizarre twist yesterday on the Flashpoint program.

In a stunning revelation, Turpen noted that he had recently visited the web site of former Louisiana State Representative and Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke. Turpen went on to say that Duke had endorsed Terrill for governor. Republican Kirk Humphries absent-mindedly countered that the endorsement probably was something he (Terrill) didn’t want, further cementing the lie as truth.

As of Noon, the weekend segment still was not posted on the KFOR website. Clearly the station needs to explain why the Turpen is allowed to pimp clients and friends without declaring the conflicts that OKPNS routinely discovers. In late 2006 he attempted to censor a report by reporter Ali Meyer that was highly critical of Turpen pal Drew Edmondson, ironically Flashpoint’s guest on Sunday. As would be expected, Turpen’s press hypocrisy has never come under scrutiny by the capitol press corps.

To add to the irony, the show recently hosted Terrill, a regular on rival News9’s Your Vote Counts, which has much more viewers, in an effort to boost Flashpoint’s sagging ratings.

So why was Turpen visiting a white supremacist web site? Turpen’s pals Bill and Hillary Clinton have employed race-baiting throughout the presidential campaign and Turpen, a chief fund raiser for Sen. Clinton, appears to be utilizing the same sick and disgusting tactics.

Meanwhile, Turpen revealed his admiration for another clown, Sen. Dirty Harry Coates, but spared viewers other stomach-turning details such as a list of the other types of web-sites fat, sweaty trial lawyers like to surf late at night.
