Family Day at the State Capitol will be observed this week on Wednesday, April 9.
Dozens of pro-family and family support organizations will gather with the general public and legislators at the state Capitol on April 9 in observance of the third annual Family Day event. One special
Oklahoma family will be honored as ‘Oklahoma Family of the Year’ and recognized by the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
Keynote speaker in 2008 will be Mr. Marq Youngblood, chief operating officer for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
The program will begin at noon at the fourth floor Rotunda. The House recognition of the ‘Oklahoma Family of the Year’ is expected to occur after the House convenes at 1:30 p.m.
