Budget Woes Hit OSU; Will “Educaiton” Be Affected?
A suggestion for Mr. Hargis – you may want to spare the English and promotions departments when you consider your budget cuts!
OSU officials are deciding how to cut nearly $1.5 million from this fiscal year’s budget for the Stillwater campus.
OSU President Burns Hargis and other administrators decided in September that 1 percent of the budget has to be cut because undergraduate enrollment is lower than expected this fall.
Deans have until Monday to revise their budgets accordingly.
OSU Provost Marlene Strathe said the cut could result in planned-for equipment not being purchased and faculty and staff positions possibly not being filled next year. Read more…

Instead of doing videos pitching T. Boondogle Picken’s wind energy plan, maybe Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis should be focusing more of his attention on making sure OSU ad materials have the correct spelling!
