Is the innuendo necessary or valuable? (comments about the neighborhood of the arrest... "reported" as after a long illness). How relevant to anything is a 13-year-old DUI?

Is it more relevant for gay people than straight? Democrats than Republicans? Equal for church goers? It certainly did not seem relevant to George W. Bush’s race in 2000.
